Here’s 7 effective article writing tips to create the most traffic to your site

Article marketing is one of the best ways to generate traffic and get ranked in the search engines, but sometimes your article goes un-noticed.  Writing articles is not hard, but when you start to over think it you sometimes build a wall that seems impossible to pass.  Follow these steps to help simplify your article marketing and have you pumping out articles in no time.

1. Stop thinking – The more you think the harder you make it on yourself.  Don’t worry about spelling, grammar, seo non sense.  Just start writing.  Get you ideas on paper or the screen as they are fresh.  You can edit and touch up on-page seo later.

2. You Know More Than You Think – Don’t get stressed about your topic.  When you’re speaking to your audience you don’t even have to be an expert.  You only need ot know more than your reader… Think about that.  If your reader learns one thing you succeeded!  Use yahoo answers to get ideas where your audience needs help.

3. Size Matters – The old saying does size matter?  Yes, you don’t want to be too short or too long.  Too short and you won’t be able to add enough value to help your reader.  Too long and your reader will get distracted and never finish your article.  Ideal length is between 500-700 words.

4. Wait For It – Slow down a little.  Don’t be in a rush to submit your article.  Whats the difference between a good article and a great article?…. 15 minutes.  Let it sit a day and go back and review it for grammar, spelling and is it truly helping your readers.  You can let someone else read it and take suggestions.

5. Stop Selling – Remember you goal… You are writing an article to help someone not to sell them. Don’t create a sales letter.  Make sure to add value by solving problems with creative solutions and it will help your credibility.

6. Focus Man – ADD plagues us all.  Make sure your article stays on topic and doesn’t start to ramble.  When you are writing new ideas are going ot come because you are stimulating your mind.  Have a notepad ready to jot down those new ideas and create more articles about them.

7. Write Like You Talk – Pretend your telling your best friend a story.  Let your personality and voice shine.  Don’t try to write with perfect English if you don’t speak like that.  Talk your walk…. or something like that.  This will help you build relationships with your readers.
