You should have picked a niche that you are going to focus on. The top three are weight loss, make money online, and self improvement, but there are hundreds of niches. For using example purposes will talk about the weight loss niche.

So what can you blog about in the weight loss niche. You can blog about anything and turn it into a story about losing weight and getting ripped. Here’s just a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing.

Blog about top industry leaders like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tony Horton, Dr Oz, The Doctors. Give reviews of work out programs like p90x or insanity or your favorite yoga work out. Make your own work out routine. Talk about eating healthy, how to cook, talk about eating your favorite foods and still lose weight. I mean I could go on forever. There is literally more topics in this niche you will never run out of ideas to blog about.

Now that you now what to blog about…

How do you keep your readers attention and keep them coming back to your blog.

I’m about to reveal a secret that I see most bloggers never use and it is more effective than facts and numbers, I promise.

Tell your story. The power of stories has been proven throughout time to powerfully persuade people to walk off the end of the earth.

Just take a look at Jesus. He had the power to have people do anything he wanted even if it meant their death by sharing his story. Look at Hitler. This is amazing. A guy with dark eyes and dark hair had an entire nation fighting for the superior race which included blonde hair and blue eyes… Does that make any since… Look at Manson. He used the power of stories to manipulate people to kill for him.

Those last two are negative examples, but they show the power that stories can have over people.

Read the book Awaken The Giant by Tony Robbins and he share’s his amazing story of how he was janitor and in only 8 years he totally turned his life around and now has helped millions of people including CEO’s, CIA’s and even normal people change their life in an instant all by sharing his story. When he first started he didn’t even think he had a good story to share, but once he changed his belief system he knew he could help anyone he wanted…
I’m digressing, but the point is that you have great stories to share with your audience that can help change their lives. If you don’t think you have any stories to talk about do this.

Take Action Exercise:

Take a note pad with you and through out the day right down what happens to you during the day. Maybe you meet someone, maybe you help someone across the street. There is a lot that happens throughout the day that your mind actually erases most of it so be sure to right it down I promise you won’t remember everything. At the end of the day go back and look at what happened. How can you relate that to your niche. How can you turn that into a story of inspiration to share with the world.

This simple exercise will help you develop your story telling ability and you will attract your audience and keep them coming back to your blog because they want to hear more exciting stories about YOU.
